4. Passive PFC is usually a large inductor, which is made of multiple silicon steel sheets wound with copper wire, so the volume of the power supply will be very large; while the active PFC is composed of an inductor coil and an IC control chip, and the power supply will be very large compact.

5. The active PFC power supply can meet the requirements of EN61000-3-2, class D (the highest level), and the harmonic pollution to other equipment is small. The passive PFC power supply may not even meet the EN61000-3-2, class A level. The harmonic pollution of other electrical equipment around will be very large.
